Tour Details

We want to introduce you to our most popular 7 (seven) days tour with a heritages and UNESCO places in Bosnia and Herzegovina that are some of the famous places visited by our travelers.

On the tour we will visit:

  • St Peter & Paul church within Franciscan Monastery in Mostar
  • St. Anthony church held by the Franciscan Monastery in Ljubuski
  • Divine Mercy church in Surmanci
  • Tihaljina church at the convent of Tihaljina
  • Secret Heart of Jesus Cathedral in Sarajevo

 

ITINERARY

Day 1 - Sarajevo: You will be transferred to a 3-star hotel located in the center of the old city of Sarajevo, also popularly called ''Bascarsija''. Check in at the hotel and rest. Then you will enjoy a panoramic night tour of Sarajevo and after that return to the hotel. Have dinner and overnight in Sarajevo.

Day 2 - Sarajevo: After breakfast, you will join a guided tour of Sarajevo by a professional local guide. The tour's city sights include: The Turkish old town, known as Bascarsija, Tiny Ottoman quarters lined with sweet shops, cafes and handicraft workshops, and the Cultural Center of Austro-Hungarian times. An Orthodox and a Catholic church, a mosque and a synagogue are within easy walking distance of each other.

After the guided tour of the town you will have some free time to enjoy moving around on foot. Ferhadija is a famous pedestrian alley that goes through the heart of town and is always filled, day or night, with pedestrians of all ages.

Afternoon you will departure to Mostar and have an extraordinary drive through the most exhibited mountains of Bosnia and Herzegovina and pass by the wild rivers. Once arriving at the hotel located in the center of old town, you have dinner and overnight stay in Mostar.

Day 3 - Mostar: Breakfast is at the hotel and then you will explore the old town of Mostar with a private local guide. The tour's city sights include:

The Franciscan Church monastery with St. Peter and Paul church
- The Old Bridge under the UNESCO heritage is famous and appreciated for its uniqueness in terms of its age, architecture and beauty.

- Old city, Kujundziluk - English "copper smiths “area.
- Karadjoz-bey mosque - considered the most beautiful mosque built in 1557.- Muslibegovica House - ideal example of Mostar's grand houses of the Ottoman period, built for merchants and landowners

After the guided tour of the town you will have some free-time for strolling around, browsing among the many old craft shops. Lunch is at one of the picturesque local restaurants located in the old town. You will have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel in Mostar.

Day 4 - Blagaj: After breakfast at the hotel you will departure to Blagaj, which is located 15 minutes drive from Mostar, where situated on the river Buna whose spring is there. It was capitol of Humska Land or Huma, the region that was called Herzegovina since the half of 15th century. Have lunch in a restaurant located on the bank of The Buna River (fish menu). After that you departure for Pocitelj, which is 20 km far from Mostar - a small medieval town known for many buildings built during the Ottoman period. Continue to Medjugorje. Welcome by the hosts and dinner and with overnight at the hotel in Medjugorje.

Day 5- Medjugorje:

Breakfast at the hotel.

Join the daily English Mass at 10 am At 11 am. After English mass meet your guide at the front of St. James church whom will take you for an orientation tour of St. James church and its surroundings (Adoration chapel, the Exterior altar, Statue of the Queen of Peace and St. Leopold, Risen Savior statue and its prayer area etc..) Free for lunch

In the afternoon, meet your guide whom will accompany you as you follow the same path up Apparition Hill where the young visionaries first encountered Our Lady. As you climb, you can see the inspired artistry of the bronze plaques depicting each mystery of the rosary.

Free to join the evening prayer program at St. James church.

18 h Joyful and Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary

19 h Holy Mass 20-21 h Blessings of objects, Prayer for health of soul and body, Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary Overnight at the hotel with dinner.

Day 6- Medjugorje:

In 1933, the villagers built a thirty-foot cross at Cross Mountain, to commemorate the 1900 year anniversary of Christ's crucifixion.

After early breakfast morning meet your guide whom will accompany you to the Cross Mountain. As you climb, you can see the inspired artistry of the bronze plaques depicting each mystery of the Way of the cross.

Afternoon visit the “Cenacolo” Community which was founded in Saluzzo (Italy) by Sr. Elvira Petrozzi in 1983, in order to help drug addicts. The main goal of the community is to discover and to live true values of Christian life. According to their words, their therapy is Jesus Christ, and the way of healing is prayer, work and friendship. The boys of the “Cenacolo” community gladly receive pilgrims and give witness of their conversion and liberation from drug addiction.

18-21h Free to join evening Prayer program and Confession. Overnight at the hotel with dinner.

 Day 7- Kravice Waterfalls and St. Anthony from Padua Parish in Ljubuski

We continue for this morning to visit the Kravica Waterfalls. The gem of this region is the crystal-clear water of the Trebizat River. The Waterfalls are stretching over 100m across and tumbling down 25 m, Kravica is one of the largest waterfalls in Herzegovina and certainly the most impressive one. The waterfalls have a natural pool dug out at the base of the falls by the constant rush of water. It is a favorite local swimming hole with picnic area, cafe and even a place to pitch a tent if you like. The best time of year for visiting is springtime when the waterfall is at its fullest and the arid landscape turns a bright green.

Visit the oldest museum in the country, established in 1884, the Humac Franciscan Monastery (built in 1869) with its museum and beautiful parish of St. Anthony just outside the town of Ljubuški (15 minutes drive from Medjugorje) . The Humac Museum hosts one of the finest collections of ancient relics, all found in the vicinity of the monastery.

The oldest script ever found in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Humacka ploca, is exhibited here. This stone-carved slate written in Glagolic is said to date back to the 10th century. The museum has a significant collection of relics from the Roman settlements including jewelers, weapons, helmets and hand carved tombstones. Many of the excavated items come from the ruins of a Roman military camp, Bigeste, near the monastery.

Return to Medjugorje. Overnight at the hotel with dinner.

Day 8- Sarajevo airport

Return for your flight back home after breakfast at the hotel to Sarajevo airport (duration: 3 hours drive)

End of service.
